Job Duties

  • Provide technical leadership and ownership across spacecraft products, ensuring adherence to high-quality engineering practices..
  • Perform comprehensive technical analyses, build models, and run simulations to enhance and validate system performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, manufacturing, and GNC engineers, to align project efforts with mission objectives.
  • Lead complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects to support both internal development and external customer needs.
  • Define, derive, and implement system and subsystem-level requirements based on specific mission objectives and customer feedback.
  • Coordinate, track, and validate requirements, ensuring all aspects align with mission needs.
  • Generate and release detailed documentation, including system requirements, subsystem specifications, and verification plans.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance for operations, both on-ground and in-orbit, adhering to required standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third-party stakeholders, including government agencies, commercial partners, and international collaborators.
  • Mentor junior engineers, supporting their professional development and providing technical guidance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in aerospace engineering with an emphasis on practical, hands-on systems engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in spacecraft analysis, design, and decision-making with a focus on reliability and mission readiness.
  • Strong background in developing, documenting, and managing complex space system requirements.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and a flexible approach to process adaptation.
  • Proven track record of effectively mentoring junior engineers and providing constructive feedback.

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s degree in aerospace engineering or a related field.
  • Successfully managed and executed complex engineering projects within tight timelines and budgets.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-stakes space technology solutions.

Security Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance

Compensation Details

$130,000 - $170,000
