Job Duties

  • Develop and deploy computer vision algorithms on embedded systems, with applications for high-speed cameras in detecting and tracking airborne and ground-based objects.
  • Design and optimize AI/ML models tailored for memory and processing constraints on embedded platforms, enhancing both efficiency and accuracy.
  • Engage in full-cycle software development, from initial requirements and design through testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Conduct algorithm evaluation and fine-tuning to ensure real-time performance in machine vision systems.
  • Keep current with advancements in AI, machine learning, and computer vision to propose innovative solutions for product improvements.
  • Document and communicate technical details effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers in their technical development.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Physics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python, with experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong foundation in AI/ML techniques, deep learning, and computer vision.
  • Expertise in integrating and optimizing hardware-software systems, including GPU acceleration, FPGA deployment, and multi-core processing.
  • Familiarity with popular embedded platforms such as ARM-based SoCs and microcontrollers.
  • Working knowledge of basic image processing, camera systems, and sensor integration.
  • Experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying complex technical information.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in video processing pipelines.
  • Background in debugging and optimizing high-performance video systems.
  • Knowledge in mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency preferred.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance

Compensation Details

$90,000 - $150,000
