Business Development Representative – Drive Growth at a Fast-Moving Deep Tech Startup!

Opportunity Summary

Join a fast-growing, well-funded Series A startup on a mission to transform how high-performance machines are developed, tested, and operated. We’re building a platform that empowers engineers with real-time access to critical data, enabling faster decisions, increased system reliability, and more agile development cycles. We’re seeking a strategic and technically curious Business Development Representative to help scale our reach across aerospace, defense, autonomous systems, and infrastructure. This is not a high-volume sales role, it’s an opportunity to work closely with engineering teams, understand complex workflows, and identify the moments where our platform can make a life-or-death difference.

Our platform was born out of the need to remove friction from engineering workflows and improve visibility across complex systems. Today, we support frontier industries where precision and speed are paramount, from commercial space and defense to next-gen mobility and automation. Job Duties

  • Own and manage a pipeline of high-impact prospects across government, aerospace, and industrial sectors
  • Conduct deep discovery into customer pain points, system workflows, and technical bottlenecks
  • Navigate complex organizations to uncover decision-making processes across engineering, procurement, and leadership teams
  • Qualify and nurture strategic opportunities using insight, creativity, and a technical mindset
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Solutions teams to ensure we deliver on what’s promised
  • Support field events, customer pilots, and partnership development as part of broader go-to-market initiatives
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally to inform roadmap and sales strategy


Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a customer-facing, results-driven environment (sales, consulting, military, sourcing, or technical project roles)
  • Experience selling into or working with engineering teams, government agencies, or technical stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics for a variety of audiences
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with a high degree of ownership
  • Deep curiosity about hard tech, defense innovation, or mission-critical systems


Preferred Experience

  • Background in defense, advanced manufacturing, or infrastructure
  • Familiarity with capture management, pricing strategies, or federal procurement
  • Exposure to startups or early-stage product development environments
  • Understanding of proposal development, RFI/RFP processes, or SBIR/STTR strategies


Security Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain US Secret clearance.

Compensation Details

$90,000 - $130,000 OTE plus equity
