Opportunity Summary
We are seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to help develop the electrical systems that enable next-generation power generation hardware. This role will focus on high-voltage power conversion, motor and generator integration, and electrical architecture development for complex electromechanical systems. This is an opportunity to join an early-stage engineering team where electrical design decisions will directly influence product performance, reliability, and scalability.

Job Duties
- Design and develop high-voltage electrical systems for power generation applications
- Lead motor, generator, inverter, and power conversion hardware development efforts
- Perform system-level electrical analysis and architecture trades
- Develop schematics, component selections, and electrical documentation
- Collaborate with controls, mechanical, thermal, and test engineering teams
- Support hardware integration, validation, and troubleshooting activities
- Improve system efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability
- Participate in prototype builds and testing campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience developing power electronics hardware
- Experience with motor drives, generators, inverters, or high-power electrical systems
- Strong understanding of power conversion and electrical system design
- Experience bringing hardware from concept through testing
- Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines
Preferred Experience
- 7+ years of experience
- Experience with megawatt-scale power systems
- Experience supporting power generation, industrial equipment, aerospace, or energy infrastructure
- Experience with high-voltage motor and generator design

Compensation Details
$170,000 - $220,000
