Job Duties:

  • Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms for embedded systems, focusing on detecting, tracking, and classifying airborne and ground-based objects using high-speed cameras.
  • Create and optimize AI/ML models tailored for deployment on embedded platforms with constraints on memory, processing power, and energy efficiency.
  • Engage in the full software development cycle, from system design to testing, deployment, and post-deployment maintenance.
  • Perform rigorous evaluation and optimization of algorithms to ensure real-time performance in high-frame-rate video processing applications.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in machine learning, computer vision, and AI to propose cutting-edge enhancements for our products.
  • Effectively document and communicate complex technical concepts, algorithms, and implementation details to team members and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and fostering technical growth.
  • Debug video processing pipelines and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in machine learning and computer vision, with hands-on expertise in algorithm design and implementation.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages; experience in embedded software development is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML techniques, deep learning frameworks, and computer vision fundamentals.
  • Experience with hardware-software integration for embedded systems, including GPU acceleration, FPGA implementation, and multi-core parallel processing.
  • Familiarity with popular embedded platforms such as ARM-based SoCs and microcontrollers.
  • Proficiency with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software development for embedded systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical details clearly and effectively.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in video processing pipelines and workflows.
  • Familiarity with image processing techniques and sensor integration.
  • Prior exposure to space-related projects or defense technology is a plus.
  • Knowledge of advanced camera systems and image capture technologies.
  • US Citizenship or Green Card status.

$150,000 - $200,000/year
