In this role, you will design, develop, and implement advanced video systems that include high-speed cameras, compute platforms, and storage components. Job Duties

  • Lead the design and development of advanced video systems, including high-speed cameras, compute platforms, storage devices, and related electronic components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as software, mechanical, and systems engineers to define requirements and specifications for video systems.
  • Perform block diagram, circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout for camera subsystems, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Conduct research to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in camera technologies and apply them to ongoing projects.
  • Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues during the development and production phases.
  • Assist Test Engineers in developing and executing test plans to verify system performance, image quality, and reliability.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely production of high-quality video systems.
  • Continuously innovate and improve our product offerings by integrating advancements in camera technology and compute capabilities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a development engineer with a specialization in video or camera technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of video recording systems, digital cameras, image sensors, and related components.
  • Experience designing or testing aerospace systems in compliance with military or spaceflight standards.
  • Proficiency in circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout using tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence.
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces like MIPI, SLVS, USB, Ethernet, and HDMI.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex electronic systems using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems and software-hardware integration.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering video-related projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with aerospace or defense systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience in developing or optimizing embedded firmware for video systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for aerospace electronics, including environmental and performance testing.
  • Prior experience working on projects related to national security or space exploration.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance; TS/SCI clearance is preferred.


Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 / year
