Job Duties

  • Design, develop, and implement advanced machine vision algorithms for identifying, tracking, and classifying airborne and ground-based objects using high-speed cameras.
  • Optimize AI/ML models for deployment on embedded platforms, balancing factors such as memory use, processing power, and energy efficiency.
  • Lead and participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from design and prototyping to deployment and performance tuning.
  • Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting to ensure real-time, high-performance video processing on embedded systems.
  • Stay ahead of the latest innovations in AI, machine learning, and computer vision, integrating new technologies into ongoing projects.
  • Document and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers, offering technical guidance and support to help them grow within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing and implementing machine vision and machine learning algorithms.
  • Strong coding skills in C/C++ and Python, with embedded software development experience being a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and techniques, as well as expertise in computer vision.
  • Experience with hardware-software integration and optimization for embedded systems, including GPU acceleration and multi-core processing.
  • Familiarity with embedded platforms like ARM-based systems and microcontrollers.
  • Competency in real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with camera systems and image processing techniques.
  • Experience with GPU programming, FPGA implementation, or parallel processing in embedded systems.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be eligible for a U.S. Secret security clearance; TS/SCI clearance is preferred.


Compensation: $150,000 - $190,000 / year
