Job Duties
- Design, develop, and validate power systems for spacecraft, including solar arrays, battery packs, and power distribution units.
- Create and test circuit designs to meet strict requirements for reliability, efficiency, and robustness in space environments.
- Lead schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware fabrication using tools such as Altium or KiCAD.
- Support system-level integration and troubleshooting during spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing (AIT).
- Perform modeling, simulation, and analysis of power systems using SPICE, MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Contribute to spacecraft power budgets, MPPT algorithm development, and distribution architecture design.
- Conduct environmental testing and qualification processes for space-grade hardware.
- Collaborate across mechanical, systems, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of power subsystems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in power system design for aerospace, high-voltage electronics, or related industries.
- Proven expertise in solar, battery, and power distribution design.
- Hands-on experience with circuit design, simulation, and prototyping.
- Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and fabrication workflows.
- Strong understanding of spacecraft power systems and modeling practices.
- Familiarity with environmental qualification and testing for aerospace hardware.
- Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, e-loads, power supplies, etc.).
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment with strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of radiation effects, thermal cycling, and reliability engineering.
- Experience writing test scripts and analysis in Python or similar languages.
- Exposure to advanced spacecraft power management systems.

Compensation Details
$120,000 - $180,000
