Job Duties

  • Lead design and development of RF products, with a strong focus on oscillator technologies.
  • Drive proposal efforts by analyzing customer requirements, generating design concepts, and evaluating trade-offs.
  • Provide detailed cost and schedule estimates covering materials, testing, labor, and development.
  • Independently perform RF system and circuit design, including board-level layout and component selection.
  • Support analog control circuitry design (voltage regulation, gain control, ALC, and temperature compensation).
  • Conduct prototype testing, tuning, and validation; deliver technical reports and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical, mechanical, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing technical expertise across the team.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to create test documentation and support system integration.
  • Innovate new approaches and contribute to advancing internal RF design practices.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in RF/Microwave design and product development.
  • Strong background in oscillator design, including multiple topologies with emphasis on ultra-low phase noise.
  • In-depth understanding of RF theory (impedance matching, amplifier topologies, distortion, noise figure, stability, multipaction, etc.).
  • Proficiency with 2.5D and 3D RF simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, or AWR/Microwave Office.
  • Expertise in RF board-level design (distributed and lumped matching, shielding, microstrip layouts).
  • Hands-on experience with RF lab equipment and test methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept through production.
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills.


Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with schematic capture tools (OrCAD or equivalent).
  • Experience in Ka-band or other microwave circuit design.
  • Background with InP VCO design.
  • Previous experience mentoring engineers or leading technical project teams.

Compensation Details

$165,000 - $200,000
