Job Duties

  • Develop and write compelling proposals, specifically targeting SBIR Phase I and II opportunities, ensuring all criteria and requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and technical details for SBIR proposals and other government contracts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies, including NASA, Space Force, USAF, DoD, and other relevant organizations, building and maintaining strong relationships to support project development.
  • Engage clients to understand their requirements, aligning our solutions to meet specific government agency needs.
  • Manage proposal development timelines and ensure all submissions are complete, accurate, and aligned with agency standards.
  • Conduct market and industry research to identify potential government contract opportunities and trends.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and government agencies, showcasing our capabilities and addressing technical or logistical inquiries.
  • Track and analyze competitor activities and agency priorities to enhance proposal effectiveness and strategy.
  • Support contract negotiations, including SBIR-related agreements, and work closely with legal and product teams to ensure contract compliance.


Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical and business concepts effectively.
  • Proven experience in business development, proposal writing, or contract management with government agencies, particularly NASA, Space Force, USAF, DoD, or similar organizations.
  • Strong understanding of SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) program requirements, with experience in Phase I and Phase II proposals and contracts.
  • Knowledge of government procurement processes and familiarity with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).
  • Experience conducting market analysis and competitive research, especially within the aerospace and defense sectors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and ensure accuracy and compliance in all submissions.
  • Self-motivated and adept at working independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in professional English and experience with virtual collaboration tools.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with SBIR/STTR proposal guidelines, processes, and specific compliance requirements.
  • Background in proposal writing or technical sales specifically related to government or defense contracts.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to gather technical information and develop cohesive proposal narratives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Aerospace, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
