The Opportunity:


Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, the Director of Brand Experiences & Communication will champion the Downstream Marketing Digital & Social channels and communications across their Branded business product categories and Retail Grocery customer base.


This role will translate strategy into integrated campaigns, communications, and experiences that build emotional connection and commercial impact.


This role oversees the annual marketing calendar and leads integrated planning across product launches, campaigns, communications, digital channels, events, and brand experiences. Ensures that every brand expression — internally and externally — aligns with their purpose, design system, and growth priorities.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:


·      Integrated Marketing & Campaigns

o  Build and lead the annual integrated marketing calendar, aligning product launches, seasonal programs, and brand campaigns.

o  Develop 360° campaign strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and loyalty across retail, digital, and trade environments.

o  Oversee creative briefing, messaging, and cross-functional alignment between Product, Sales, Operations, and Finance.

o  Translate upstream brand and product strategies into compelling narratives that differentiate them in the market.

o  Manage the measurement and reporting of campaign performance, ensuring optimization for future programs.

·      Communications & PR

o  Lead all corporate, brand, and external communications strategy.

o  Serve as the brand voice guardian, ensuring consistent messaging and tone across all internal and external touchpoints.

o  Partner with the Senior Communications Manager on media relations, executive visibility, thought leadership, and crisis communication planning.

o  Reinforce corporate reputation through proactive storytelling that highlights innovation, sustainability, and partnership success.

o  Collaborate with HR and Internal Communications to align messaging that strengthens engagement and reinforces company culture.

·      Social, Digital & Content

o  Develop and lead digital and social content strategy, ensuring cohesive storytelling across owned, earned, and paid channels.

o  Oversee content creation for web, email, social media, and trade communications, ensuring creative excellence and consistency.

o  Manage community engagement and influencer partnerships that reflect our Win by Challenging mindset.

o  Use analytics and insights to inform creative strategy, track performance, and enhance brand visibility.

o  Partner with Marketing Operations & Workflow Manager to ensure seamless coordination and prioritization of content and campaign deliverables.

·      Events & Experiences

o  Lead execution of trade shows, retail activations, consumer events, and experiential marketing initiatives.

o  Ensure brand storytelling and visual identity are cohesive across physical and digital environments.

o  Partner with HR and People Experience teams to enhance internal brand experiences, such as company events, culture programs, and leadership communications.

o  Manage agency and vendor partners to deliver on time, on budget, and on brand.

·      Leadership, Operations & Collaboration

o  Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across Communications, Social/Digital, and Events.

o  Partner closely with the VP, Product Strategy & Brand Architecture to ensure seamless alignment between upstream design and downstream activation.

o  Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Finance to connect marketing programs to measurable business outcomes.

o  Oversee agency relationships, scope management, and budget planning for all downstream marketing initiatives.

o  Contribute as an active member of the Marketing Leadership Team, helping shape overall departmental strategy and culture.


Ideal Qualifications & Competencies:


·      Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.

·      10+ years of progressive experience in brand marketing, communications, or integrated campaign leadership within CPG, food, agriculture, or consumer brands.

·      Demonstrated success developing and executing multi-channel marketing and communications programs that drive growth.

·      Strong leadership experience managing teams, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholders.

·      Exceptional communication, storytelling, and organizational skills.

·      Proven ability to balance creativity with operational execution and accountability.

·      Experience in purpose-driven or challenger brands.

·      Knowledge of retail, shopper, and trade marketing environments.

·      Experience with digital analytics tools and marketing automation systems.

·      Familiarity with sustainability and ESG storytelling
