The company designs, fabricates, and tests custom air-handling and modular cooling systems in-house for speed, quality, and reliability. Backed by strong demand from the data center market, the business is on a steep growth trajectory - expanding product lines (including modular/plant-level solutions), scaling manufacturing capacity, investing in R&D, and broadening its national rep network to capture share across key regions.
About the Role
We are hiring two Technical Sales Managers—one East Coast, one West Coast—to drive regional growth, manage manufacturer representatives, and develop key accounts for a portfolio focused on data center and mission-critical HVAC applications. You will build and execute territory plans, provide technical sales support and training, and represent the brand at customer meetings and industry events while meeting revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies; forecast pipeline, bookings, and revenue.
• Recruit, enable, and manage manufacturer reps; set expectations and hold partners accountable.
• Prospect, qualify, and expand relationships with owners, developers, consultants, and contractors.
• Deliver technical presentations, lunch-and-learns, and product demos; support submittals and bid packages.
• Provide application guidance and coordinate with Sales Application Engineering to ensure proposals meet specs and business objectives.
• Track competitor activity and market trends; feed insights to Product, Marketing, and Engineering.
• Prepare territory reviews and executive updates; represent the company at trade shows and key industry events.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (MBA a plus), or equivalent experience.
• Proven B2B sales success in data center cooling/HVAC or industrial equipment; strong channel and key-account experience.
• Solid understanding of HVAC fundamentals and applications; excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with CRM and Microsoft Office; able to analyze sales data and convert insights into action.
• Willing and able to travel extensively within the assigned region (approximately 50–75%).
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Mix of remote, office, and field work with frequent customer-site visits and trade shows; occasional exposure to mechanical spaces and operating equipment.
• Requires sustained focus, autonomy, and effective relationship management; visual/auditory acuity for presentations and site interactions.
• Travel expectation: roughly 50–75% based on territory needs.
