Compensation: $90,000–$120,000 base salary, plus commission, profit sharing, and benefits
About the Role
HireIQ Solutions is leading the search for a Project Manager to join a well-established, family-owned building automation and controls company serving clients across Oregon and Washington. This is a replacement position within a growing team that values intelligence, initiative, and accountability over strict industry background.
The Project Manager will oversee multiple concurrent projects—ranging from $200K to $2M in value—coordinating with engineers, technicians, mechanical contractors, and general contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Manage 15–20 projects concurrently, typically representing approximately $5M in total project value per year.
- Coordinate schedules, QA/QC of engineering documentation, and communication among internal and external project stakeholders.
- Serve as the main liaison between clients, mechanical contractors, and general contractors.
- Oversee vendor coordination, material procurement, and construction documentation.
- Conduct on-site visits for job meetings and progress inspections (typically 3–4 times per month).
- Generate and manage change orders to drive project profitability.
- Support the sales team by identifying new opportunities and client needs through field interactions.
- Utilize Procore for documentation and project tracking; maintain digital records of all correspondence and deliverables.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing construction, mechanical, or controls projects.
- Strong organizational, financial tracking, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of construction accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Procore (certification preferred).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exposure to commercial HVAC controls, PLC, or industrial systems a plus.
- PMP certification is beneficial but not required.
- Self-starter with a proactive, hands-on management style and the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working with GCs, mechanical contractors, and field teams in both office and jobsite environments.
