Compensation: $120,000–$167,000 DOE + 20% Annual Bonus + 20% Long-Term Incentive Plan

HireIQ Solutions is leading the search for a Production Manager at a US manufacturer of engineered-to-order HVAC and thermal management systems serving mission-critical and commercial/industrial environments. The company designs and manufactures highly customized equipment and continues to invest in production capability, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution across its manufacturing footprint.
About the Role
This role is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. The Production Manager leads production teams, manages labor and resources, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the floor. This leader partners closely with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to meet production goals, support new product introductions, and improve manufacturing performance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise production teams to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve production issues and improve product quality.
• Implement Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train, coach, and develop team members to enhance performance and engagement.
• Track key performance indicators and report production metrics to senior leadership.
• Manage labor, materials, and equipment to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support new product introductions and process changes on the production floor.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, manufacturing processes, and production planning.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Experience in HVAC or related mechanical/electrical manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management are a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish capability is a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments.
• The production floor may involve exposure to seasonal temperatures, noise, dust, and industrial equipment.
• Regular interaction with production staff, engineers, and leadership teams is required.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods on the production floor.
• Occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.
• Frequent movement between office and manufacturing areas.
• Required use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
• Flexibility in working hours may be required to support multiple shifts or urgent production needs.
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring heightened awareness and strict adherence to safety procedures.
