We are leading the search for a skilled and motivated Commissioning Project Manager (Cx PM) to join an established engineering consulting firm in either their Eugene or Tigard, Oregon office. This firm specializes in providing high-quality commissioning for complex and critical environments, ensuring optimized building system performance and sustainable, maintainable facilities. Their clients include universities, healthcare systems, municipalities, and government agencies.
The right candidate will lead the commissioning process from proposal to project closeout, collaborating with a dedicated team of commissioning technicians, subject matter experts, engineers, and administrative staff. Beyond project leadership, this role includes technical mentorship to team members. Key Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning projects for institutional and critical environments.
- Perform design reviews and develop commissioning specifications.
- Supervise construction inspections and field investigations.
- Conduct commissioning meetings and functional performance testing.
- Track and resolve commissioning-related issues.
- Develop training documentation and system operation manuals.

Essential Qualifications
- 4-8 years of experience in engineering, installation, startup, and testing of building mechanical and electrical systems.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Interest in team leadership and developing leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Building Commissioning Certification (CCP, BCxP, or equivalent).
- Previous commissioning project management experience.
- Experience with:
- Commissioning processes and sustainable construction practices.
- Existing building operations and maintenance protocols.
- Facilities such as K-12 schools, higher education, government offices, laboratories, healthcare facilities, data centers, sports facilities, aquatic centers, and central plants.
- Design reviews for compliance with Owner’s Project Requirements, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
