We are leading the search for a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer to step into a leadership role as a Mechanical Department Leader with an established consulting engineering firm in Eugene, OR. This firm is seeking a technical leader and mentor who will elevate department production, enhance processes, and develop staff. The right candidate brings deep technical expertise in mechanical building systems and thrives on improving efficiency, fostering innovation, and driving organizational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across all mechanical engineering projects.
  • Mentor and develop staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Enhance and standardize department processes, workflows, and efficiencies.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of mechanical building systems in complex environments.
  • Ensure projects meet high standards of quality, sustainability, and performance optimization.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 15+ years of industry experience.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
  • Proven expertise in mechanical building systems across various project types.
  • Experience in supervising, mentoring, and leading teams.
  • Oregon relocation required; this position requires on-site, in-office leadership with flexible hybrid options.
