Location: Memphis, Tennessee

Compensation: $150,000–$192,000 DOE + 20% Annual Incentive Plan + 30% Long-Term Incentive Plan

Employment Type: Full-time

HireIQ Solutions is leading the search for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at a US manufacturer of engineered-to-order HVAC and thermal management systems serving mission-critical and commercial/industrial environments. The company designs and manufactures highly customized equipment and continues to invest in manufacturing capability, process improvement, and operational excellence across its production network.


About the Role


This is a people and process leadership role for an engineering manager who can coordinate and direct the work of a Manufacturing Engineering team while partnering effectively across departments. You will be responsible for helping identify inefficiencies in manufacturing processes, capacity, and overall effectiveness, then guiding the team in developing and implementing practical solutions. The role requires strong communication, sound project management judgment, and the ability to mentor engineers while maintaining strong working relationships with Operations and other cross-functional leaders.


Key Responsibilities


• Lead and coordinate the activities of the Manufacturing Engineering team.

• Support Manufacturing Engineers in solving manufacturing process-related issues.

• Partner with other departmental managers to maintain strong working relationships and coordinate efforts across functions.

• Identify inefficiencies in manufacturing processes, capacity, and effectiveness, and help drive solutions through the engineering team.

• Oversee team performance through timekeeping, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and development planning.

• Coordinate engineer skill development and provide ongoing mentorship and coaching.

• Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality.

• Work with OEMs to resolve equipment and process-related issues.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


• Engineering degree in a related field, or equivalent technical background.

• 5–10 years of industrial manufacturing experience or equivalent experience in a related industry.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and project management.

• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency with business software including MS Office, Outlook, and MS Project.

• Comfortable working directly with OEMs to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process challenges.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• On-site role in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to stand or walk for up to 95% of the normal work shift.

• Ability to work occasionally in temperatures below 32 degrees or above 90 degrees.

• Requires regular interaction with manufacturing teams, engineering staff, and external equipment partners.
