  • Serve as a trusted MEP technical advisor across engineering teams, contractors, and owners throughout the design and construction lifecycle.
  • Support the development of commissioning specifications, system manuals, and operational documentation.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, energy audits, and retro-commissioning initiatives.
  • Review RFIs, change orders, and submittals for system-level impacts.
  • Attend OAC meetings and site inspections to represent the owner's technical interests.
  • Contribute to internal standards, team mentorship, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Stay current with ASHRAE, OSHE, and healthcare HVAC guidelines.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license in Oregon or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • 6+ years of experience in MEP systems design, commissioning, or consulting engineering.
  • Expertise in HVAC and central plant systems.
  • Experience working on multidisciplinary teams across construction, design, and facilities.
  • Ability to lead field investigations and perform technical reviews independently.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and client interaction skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in healthcare, laboratory, or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable design and energy optimization strategies.
  • Proven ability to evaluate system deficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Comfortable serving as a liaison between design, construction, and operations teams.
  • Analytical mindset with follow-through, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and contributing to standards development.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Profit-sharing bonus based on company performance
  • 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance
