As Principal Water & Wastewater Engineer, you’ll bring strategic and technical leadership across feasibility, design, commissioning, and delivery phases — supporting councils, utilities, and industrial clients on projects that make a genuine community impact.

What You’ll Deliver

  • Lead multi-disciplinary design and delivery of municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Provide project leadership across feasibility, concept, and detailed design, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with Australian standards.
  • Guide commissioning and operations teams on treatment plant upgrades and process optimisation.

  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Civil Engineering (essential).
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and/or RPEQ registration (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • 10–15 years’ experience in municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Proven success leading projects across design, commissioning, and construction.
  • Expertise with wastewater process modelling and design tools (e.g., Biowin).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
  • Commitment to collaboration, innovation, and developing sustainable engineering solutions.

Why This Role

This consultancy is on a growth trajectory, expanding nationally and investing heavily in its people and technical capabilities. You’ll join a culture that values hands-on leadership, real client partnerships, and engineering that improves how communities live and thrive.
