The Opportunity
- The team advises across the full spectrum of banking and finance matters, including corporate and property finance, structured and project finance, capital raisings and restructures
- Clients include major domestic and international financiers, private capital, funds, developers, corporates and substantial private groups
- Matters are often part of broader commercial transactions, with close collaboration across corporate, property, insolvency, tax and construction teams
- This role provides a strong technical and commercial foundation in banking and finance law. You’ll be exposed to live matters and real transactions, working closely with partners and senior lawyers
- The practice places a strong emphasis on understanding both the legal and commercial drivers behind finance arrangements, and on developing graduates who can think critically, manage detail and exercise sound judgement
- The firm’s training approach means graduates are encouraged to develop breadth alongside depth, gaining exposure to a range of deal types and client issues rather than being narrowly siloed from the outset.
About you
- You will either be a law graduate, or have recently started your career, with excellent academic results and a genuine interest in banking and finance and commercial law
- You’ll bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to engage with complex legal and financial concepts
- You’ll be motivated, intellectually curious and keen to build a strong foundation in private practice, working closely with experienced practitioners and contributing meaningfully to high-quality work
