Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Community Connect Strategic Advisor to lead and guide the development of a comprehensive Community Connect program. This high-impact role will involve strategic planning, governance design, mentorship, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive program success. In this role, you will be instrumental in building a new Connect program and laying the foundation for the health system's future strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Development
- Develop and document a phased Community Connect program strategy, including vision, mission, and long-term goals.
- Conduct readiness assessments for both the organization and partner sites to identify risks, resource needs, and opportunities.
- Design detailed action plans for operationalizing the Community Connect strategy.
- Collaborate with leadership to align the strategic plan with organizational priorities.
Governance Design and Implementation
- Create governance frameworks, including committee charters, roles, decision-making structures, and escalation pathways.
- Establish policies for compliance, data sharing, and program oversight.
- Facilitate governance committee meetings, ensuring alignment and clarity in decision-making.
- Provide recommendations for improving program oversight and enhancing accountability across stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement and communication plan tailored to various audience groups.
- Act as the primary liaison between leadership, internal teams, and partner sites, ensuring alignment on program objectives.
- Resolve escalations, foster collaboration, and maintain productive relationships among stakeholders.
- Schedule and lead regular stakeholder meetings, providing transparent updates on progress, challenges, and goals.
Mentorship and Capacity Building
- Mentor program leaders, with a focus on leadership and program management skills development.
- Provide on-the-job training for best practices in managing Community Connect initiatives.
- Develop a structured mentorship plan with objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Support program leaders in navigating stakeholder dynamics and overcoming operational challenges.
Contractual Guidance
- Advise on the development, review, and negotiation of partnership agreements including pricing, technical requirements, and other contractual considerations.
- Ensure that all agreements comply with regulatory requirements and align with program objectives.
- Develop templates and tools for efficient and sustainable contractual management.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any regulatory considerations.
Program Monitoring and Reporting
- Deliver bi-weekly progress reports summarizing key accomplishments, challenges, and next steps.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Develop tools, templates, and documentation to support ongoing program operations.
- Prepare a comprehensive end-of-engagement report highlighting program outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for sustainability.
Required Qualifications:
Strategic Advisory Experience
- Minimum of 8 years in healthcare IT consulting, with experience in strategic advisory roles.
- Proven success in developing and implementing long-term strategic plans.
- Strong ability to guide leadership through strategic decision-making processes.
Epic Community Connect Expertise
- Deep understanding of Epic’s Community Connect model and its application in health systems.
- Experience in designing and scaling Community Connect programs across multiple partner sites.
- Familiarity with Epic governance structures and best practices.
Governance and Stakeholder Engagement
- Demonstrated expertise in designing governance frameworks, including policies, charters, and decision-making processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to foster alignment and resolve escalations effectively.
- Experience leading and facilitating high-level governance meetings.
Mentorship and Leadership Development
- Proven ability to mentor and build capacity within internal teams.
- Experience developing structured mentorship or training programs with measurable outcomes.
- Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and leadership growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with contractual frameworks, regulatory compliance, and sustainability strategies for health IT programs.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 25-50% to client or partner sites.
