Absolute Law Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established Legal 200 firm who are looking to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate into their London Construction Team.

You will deliver clear and high-level legal advice on a range of construction matters and projects for corporate and commercial organisations, lenders, institutional investors, developers, contractors, private healthcare providers, and HNW individuals.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Procurement and Tender Advice
• Pre-Construction Services and Early Works Agreements
• Building and Engineering Contracts (bespoke and standard forms including JCT, NEC, FIDIC and IChemE)
• Consultants Appointments
• Collateral Warranties and Third Party Rights
• Bonds and Guarantees
• Contractual advice services (including regarding payment, time for completion, defects, variations, termination)
• Construction dispute avoidance and dispute resolution

Requirements:-

• At least 2-8 years' PQE advising on construction issues – advisory mostly but any contentious experience would also be advantageous.
• A clear and developed understanding of construction law and its commercial application.
• A good technical grounding across Real Estate.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Experience working in a recognised construction law practice, ideally alongside property colleagues working on the acquisition and disposal of land (with/without planning permission) for development.
• Qualified in England & Wales.

Salary: Competitive depending on PQE experience.
