Senior Mining Accountant (FULLY REMOTE)
Position Purpose
The Senior Accountant – Group Finance serves as a key contributing member of the broader Group Finance function while also providing accounting and finance support to the Company's United States operations, including accounting support for the President of US Operations. The role is responsible for leading assigned Group accounting, reporting, consolidation, audit, budgeting, forecasting and finance improvement activities across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with the Group Accounting & Reporting Manager, VP Finance Operations and broader finance team, the position provides flexible accounting and analytical capability to advance business priorities, reporting requirements and operational objectives. The role serves as an important link between the Company's US operations and the broader global finance organization.
Key Responsibilities
Group Accounting & Reporting
· Lead assigned Group accounting, reporting and consolidation activities across multiple jurisdictions.
Audit, Controls & Compliance
· Coordinate assigned internal and external audit activities across multiple jurisdictions.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
· Lead assigned budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Systems & Process Improvement
· Administer and lead assigned SAP finance module activities for US entities.
US Accounting & Financial Operations
· Lead month-end accounting activities for US-based entities.
Finance Business Partnering
· Build strong working relationships across US, Finnish, Brazilian and Australian finance teams.
· Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the finance organization.

· CFO; VP Finance Operations; Group Accounting & Reporting Manager, Corporate and Operational FP&A; Site Finance Managers and Controllers; Company Secretary; President of US Operations; Operational Leadership Teams.
External
· External auditors; technical accounting advisors; regulatory authorities; banks and financing counterparties; finance systems consultants.
Skills & Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance or related discipline.
Experience
· 5+ years' progressive accounting and finance experience, including financial reporting and accounting within a multinational organization.
· Experience leading assigned audit, reporting and finance processes.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
· Experience with FCCS, Oracle, SAP or similar systems preferred.
· Mining, manufacturing or industrial sector experience is desirable.
