Business improvement Superintendent
About the Job:
We are seeking a Business Improvement Superintendent for our mine operation in northern Nevada. This position will report to the Assistant General Manager and will develop strategy to support initiatives across all departments while keeping in line with annual targets and five-year strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the Business Improvement strategy to support initiatives for the company's operations in line with the annual target and five-year strategy
- Develop more efficient, innovative and sustainable production strategies that will deliver increased capacity, reduce costs per ton and more consistent operational performance for the operation
- Develop and steer projects to increase annual production that are in addition to the core business plan
- Identify opportunities to improve safety and environmental performance
- Manage the ongoing development and implementation of CRI’s suite of BI-related tools, processes and methodologies
- Set up a Business Improvement framework, with training and engagement to deliver on key site activities, including a Business Improvement tracking system
- Drive continuous improvement across all operations
Experience & Qualifications:
- Engineering degree with 7-years of relevant experience in mining or a related industry. Degree in mining, geological, or metallurgical engineering is a plus
- Proven project management skills including demonstrated use of BI methodologies to deliver measurable results
- Strong analytical skills, proven ability to develop models to simulate opportunities or problems
- Communication skills, ability to organize complex information into models, reports and technical presentations
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time
- Xeras and Tableau experience is an asset
