We are seeking an Equipment Fueler/Luber Technician to join our team in Idaho. The ideal candidate will have experience in equipment maintenance within the construction or mining industry, responsible for fueling and lubricating construction equipment onsite, operating a large articulated fuel and lubrication truck after the day shift, working in the evening and night to fuel and grease all heavy equipment, and performing light maintenance tasks. The Equipment Fueler/Luber Technician will report directly to the Maintenance Manager. The Fueler/Luber is an on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Fuel and lubricate construction equipment onsite, ensuring all machinery is properly serviced to maintain operational efficiency.
- Operate a large articulated fuel and lubrication truck during evening and night shifts to fuel and grease heavy equipment after the day shift.
- Perform light maintenance on equipment, such as replacing light bulbs, greasing zerks, replacing windshield wipers, and other basic repairs.
- Inspect equipment for fuel and lubrication needs, identifying any additional maintenance issues and reporting them to management.
- Maintain accurate records of fuel usage, lubrication activities, and maintenance performed for reporting and inventory purposes.
- Monitor equipment performance during servicing, identifying risks like leaks or wear, and implementing basic mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with operators and maintenance teams to schedule servicing and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with suppliers and site personnel to ensure adequate fuel and lubrication supplies are available.
- Handle minor adjustments and troubleshooting in the field to support ongoing operations.
- Provide support for equipment readiness, including pre-shift checks and post-servicing verification.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, environmental regulations, and company procedures during servicing activities.
Scope of Work
The Equipment Fueler/Luber Technician will oversee a variety of tasks critical to the project, including:

Fueling and Lubrication: Perform nightly servicing of heavy equipment using specialized trucks to ensure readiness for the next shift.

Documentation: Keep detailed logs of activities, fuel consumption, and maintenance for inventory and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment servicing within the construction or mining industry, with at least 1 year operating fuel/lube trucks or similar.
- Proven track record of fueling, lubricating, and maintaining heavy equipment on projects.
- Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance practices, safety standards, regulatory compliance, and field operations in the civil construction sector.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in basic maintenance tools and software (e.g., MS Office Suite for logging, inventory tracking tools).
- Ability to work independently during evening/night shifts and resolve issues effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., CDL for truck operation, OSHA 10, MSHA) preferred.

Living Arrangements
The Equipment Fueler/Luber Technician, while on shift, will reside either at the site camp or at other local accommodations. While at the camp, all meals and living accommodations will be provided.
Safety and Compliance
The project is a work site monitored by both OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration). All workers will receive thorough training to earn the necessary certifications for their specific role, work location, and type of work.
