Project Controls Manager


Position Summary


The Project Controls Manager will lead the development and management of project controls, cost control, scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and document control systems to support the advancement of a large-scale mining project through feasibility, engineering, construction readiness, and execution.

This hands-on role will work closely with project leadership, consultants, contractors, procurement, finance, and future site teams to ensure accurate project tracking, reporting, risk management, and project governance.


Key Responsibilities

·       Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, cost controls, forecasting, reporting, and document control systems.

·       Track project performance, budgets, commitments, forecasts, risks, changes, and critical path activities.

·       Prepare project reports, dashboards, variance analyses, and management updates.

·       Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate project information and reporting.

·       Establish and maintain document control processes, registers, workflows, approvals, and project records.

·       Support change management, risk tracking, procurement coordination, and project engineering activities.

·       Assist with construction readiness, execution planning, operational readiness, and project governance.

·       Promote safe, organized, and cost-effective project execution practices.

·       Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.

·       8+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost control, project engineering, or capital project management.

·       Experience in mining, heavy industrial, construction, infrastructure, or other large capital projects preferred.

·       Strong knowledge of scheduling, cost forecasting, reporting, risk management, and document control systems.

·       Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and project reporting tools.

·       Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·       Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced owner’s team environment.
