The Project Controls Manager will lead the development and management of project controls, cost control, scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and document control systems to support the advancement of a large-scale mining project through feasibility, engineering, construction readiness, and execution.
This hands-on role will work closely with project leadership, consultants, contractors, procurement, finance, and future site teams to ensure accurate project tracking, reporting, risk management, and project governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, cost controls, forecasting, reporting, and document control systems.
- Track project performance, budgets, commitments, forecasts, risks, changes, and critical path activities.
- Prepare project reports, dashboards, variance analyses, and management updates.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate project information and reporting.
- Establish and maintain document control processes, registers, workflows, approvals, and project records.
- Support change management, risk tracking, procurement coordination, and project engineering activities.
- Assist with construction readiness, execution planning, operational readiness, and project governance.
- Promote safe, organized, and cost-effective project execution practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost control, project engineering, or capital project management.
- Experience in mining, heavy industrial, construction, infrastructure, or other large capital projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, cost forecasting, reporting, risk management, and document control systems.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and project reporting tools.
- Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced owner’s team environment.
