Geologist

Position Description:
Support the Manager, Geology with planning, budgeting, data review, and assist with field supervision of exploration, delineation, and well completion programs. Perform all work with emphasis on safety, environmental stewardship, and quality data acquisition.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with field supervision of drilling and logging contractors, and well completion crews.
- Completion of daily field activities including GPS locations, lithology logs and drill hole staking.
- Correlation of the lithology logs with electric logs and construction of cross-sections and maps for front definition and drill hole planning.
- Compile, update, and maintain the geologic data base.
- Prepare drilling reports and assist with compilation of monthly and annual reports.
- Assist with preparation of cost analysis reports.
- Assist with development of materials for Regulatory, Stakeholder, Ownership, and Due Diligence presentations.
- Assist with completion of in-house Resource/Reserve Estimates and Updates.
- Assist with wellfield operational performance reviews and analysis.
- Assist with implementation of well completion and wellfield design updates generated from the operational reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required
- 2+ years experience working as geologist preferred
- Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required
- Familiarity with Leapfrog, Deswik, Vulcan, and Acquire software preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by the company required
- Ability to work productively with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers required
- The ability to follow the company’s industrial safety and radiation safety policies and procedures required
