Director, Finance
Location: Utah
Purpose
The Director, Finance serves as a strategic business partner to the Vice President & CFO and senior leadership team. This role leads external and internal financial reporting, oversees SEC and other regulatory filings, ensures the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of financial reporting, maintains a strong internal control environment, and helps manage treasury operations. The position oversees monthly and quarterly close processes, enhances reporting procedures, analyzes financial results to support business decisions, and coordinates with Investor Relations and external service providers to ensure compliant, high-quality financial reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensure financial reporting complies with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
· Serve as the primary contact for internal and external auditors and manage audit activities.
· Support financial policies, internal controls, risk management, and corporate governance.
· Review budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial and liquidity planning.
· Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and communicate key trends to leadership.
· Analyze complex accounting transactions and prepare consolidated financial statements and management discussion and analysis.
· Oversee SEC and other regulatory filings.
· Continuously improve financial reporting processes and month-end and quarter-end close procedures.
· Coordinate U.S. and Canadian tax compliance, tax provisions, transfer pricing, and related tax reporting with external advisors.
· Oversee required financial registrations, licenses, and regulatory filings.
· Provide administrative oversight for the retirement savings plan (401(k)).
· Support financial assurance, insurance, and risk management programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required. CPA designation required. Minimum 10 years of accounting and finance experience, including experience with a publicly traded company. Strong technical accounting knowledge, U.S. GAAP expertise, SEC reporting experience, and public accounting/corporate finance experience required. Mining industry experience preferred.
