We are seeking a skilled Articulated Haul/Water Truck Driver to join our team in Idaho. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience driving articulated haul trucks and water trucks, transporting materials, and ensuring safe and efficient operations. The Articulated Haul/Water Truck Driver will report to either the Project Foreman, the Maintenance Manager, or the Logistics Coordinator, depending on the assignment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive articulated haul trucks to transport materials, including soil, rock, aggregates, snow, logs, and slash, to and from designated areas.
  • Operate water trucks to control dust and maintain road conditions on the project site.
  • In addition to driving duties, the employee may be required to operate other types of equipment as needed to support project requirements.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on trucks to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet project deadlines and objectives.


Scope of Work

The Articulated Haul/Water Truck Driver will perform a variety of tasks critical to the project, including:

  • Material Transport: Safely transport materials using articulated haul trucks to support construction and operational activities.
  • Water Truck Operation: Use water trucks to control dust on roads and work areas, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
  • Road Maintenance: Assist in maintaining road conditions by watering and grading as needed.
  • Site Cleanup: Transport debris and waste materials from work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Snow Removal: Clear snow from roads and work areas during winter months to ensure safe operations.
  • Equipment Inspection: Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on trucks to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Team Support: Assist other operators and team members as needed to ensure project success.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of experience driving articulated haul trucks, water trucks, or similar heavy equipment.
  • Proven experience as a truck driver in civil construction or mining projects.
  • Proficiency in operating articulated haul trucks and water trucks.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices for truck operation.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An active Class A or B commercial driver's license in good standing is preferred but not required.

Living Arrangements and Shift Schedule

Employees will reside in a camp at the project site during their shifts. The shift schedule is 19 days on and 9 days off, with two of the 19 days being paid travel days. Transportation to and from the project site will be provided by the company for on and off shift rotations. Additionally, all meals will be provided at a catered cafeteria located at the camp, and employees will have access to showers and laundry services.


Safety and Compliance

The project is a job site monitored by both OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration). All employees will receive comprehensive training to obtain the necessary certifications for their specific role, work location, and type of work.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move items up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
