Fixed Maintenance Planner
Summary
The Fixed Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and overseeing a broad range of activities associated with the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and ongoing maintenance of production and facility equipment. This role supports reliable plant operations through effective preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices while contributing to overall site safety, performance, and business objectives.
Essential Functions

· Coordinate and perform a diverse range of maintenance activities involving production equipment and plant facilities.
· Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment repairs during production operations and complete planned maintenance activities during scheduled equipment downtime.
· Oversee and perform basic machinist-related duties as required.
· Apply and coordinate mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair skills in support of production equipment.
· Review and interpret equipment manuals, maintenance documentation, and work orders to determine appropriate service and repair requirements.
· Provide direction to maintenance personnel in identifying equipment issues, replacing or repairing components, testing equipment, and making necessary adjustments.
· Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to ensure routine service is completed on production machinery, equipment, and plant facilities.
· Coordinate and perform a range of plumbing and carpentry maintenance activities.
· Safely operate and oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and material-handling equipment required to perform maintenance activities.
· Identify and address equipment operating issues and defective materials and communicate unusual conditions or concerns to appropriate supervision.
· Follow established safety requirements and maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and orderly condition.
· Provide indirect supervision and direction to members of the maintenance team.

Education and Experience
· High school diploma/GED and completion of a recognized craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on production maintenance experience.
· Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
· Four or more years of manufacturing or mining maintenance experience, with demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial systems, along with some PLC and HVAC experience.

The employee must regularly communicate verbally and listen effectively. This is a highly active position requiring extended periods of standing and walking, as well as frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday. The employee must also frequently lift and/or move materials or equipment weighing more than 75 pounds. The position requires the ability to perform tasks involving near and distance vision, color recognition, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
