Join a well-backed Agentic AI startup building software within biochemical engineering. You'll ship end-to-end features in TypeScript (React, Node, GraphQL) alongside a product and AI engineering team of 15. Technical, complex product. Team that builds fast and ships to real customers.

This is a founding-eng-style role. If you've been at a high-growth startup from early days, or you're at a bigger company and want that ownership, this is the move.

What you'll do

• Ship full-stack features from design to production, end to end
• Own back-end workflows and GraphQL API layers used by scientists daily
• Work directly with the founding team on product direction and architecture
• Drive quality and product decisions without a layer of approvals slowing you down
• Help establish engineering patterns as the team scales

 

About you

• You've been a founding or early engineer at a high-growth startup, or you're at a scale-up and want that scope
• Strong TypeScript fundamentals across the stack (React, Node.js, GraphQL)
• Comfortable with ambiguity: you scope your own work and don't wait to be told what to build next
• Bias to action, proactive, resourceful. You unblock yourself but know when to pull someone in
• Strong software fundamentals: you've worked on a product that has scaled, or in an environment of genuine engineering excellence

 

Nice to have

• Experience at an AI-native company (RelevanceAI, Heidi Health, Canva, or similar)
• LLM or ML integration work
• NestJS, Next.js, AWS, CI/CD experience

 

Stack

TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, Postgres, Python. Nice to haves: NestJS, Next.js, LLM/ML, AWS, CI/CD, containers.

Comp

AUD $130k-$160k base (mid to early-senior). Aptitude matters more than years.

Sydney preferred, mostly remote. Australian working rights required. Full flexibility including overseas work post probation.
