Senior Software Engineer

An Australian-founded AI startup in SF building LLM software that scales across millions of transactions daily. The product is used by software companies globally to scale their finance functions across jurisdictions - Lovable, Eleven Labs, and Replit are all clients.

The problem is hard: LLMs need to be right 100% of the time in their product, not 95%. That means fine-tuning and eventually building their own models. The team is 12 engineers, all on a steep trajectory. They're shipping fast and looking for engineers who want to be on the frontier.

What you'll do

• Ship features fast in a high-growth environment with minimal process
• Work on hard AI accuracy problems - you'll leverage AI coding tools but this is a high-quality engineering team, not vibe coding
• Own product areas end to end, from problem definition to production
• Build the infrastructure that makes LLMs reliable at scale
• Work directly with founders and engineering leaders on what gets built next

About you

• 5+ years experience, with time at a Tier 1 company or high-standards startup (Google, Atlassian, Canva, Stripe, Airbnb, Meta) - plus evidence you've shipped in a fast-paced environment
• Startup experience - you've shipped in fast, ambiguous environments
• Comfortable in Python or willing to learn it
• Ready to relocate to San Francisco and thrive in an in-office culture
• Australian citizen (eligible for E-3 visa) or US citizen. For Aussies: visa and relocation costs covered.

Comp

USD $180k-$250k base (AUD equiv. $250k-$350k depending on experience; higher brackets available for Staff/Principal).
