Team Manager

We are seeking a Personal Lines Team Manager to lead and support a high-performing team within its Personal lines operations. This role is responsible for overseeing employee management, development, and engagement to ensure strong team performance, operational alignment, and exceptional client service. Acting as a key liaison between employees and leadership, the Team Manager fosters a positive, productive workplace culture while supporting the organization’s overall goals and service standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent
  • Manage the full hiring process, including job postings, interviews, and selection
  • Coordinate and deliver onboarding programs to ensure successful integration of new hires

 

Employee Development & Performance Management

  • Identify training needs and coordinate development initiatives
  • Lead performance management processes, including audits, reviews, and goal setting
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing feedback to support employee growth
  • Partner with HR to implement performance improvement plans as required

 

Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Foster a positive team culture through engagement initiatives and recognition programs
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions and surveys to assess employee satisfaction
  • Address employee concerns promptly to support morale and retention

Policy Implementation & Compliance

  • Support and implement company policies related to conduct, attendance, and performance
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts and performance documentation

 

Operational Support

  • Align team performance with operational goals and service standards
  • Manage scheduling and staffing levels to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Support conflict resolution and address team challenges effectively

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • RIBO license preferred
  • Proven leadership ability with a track record of motivating and managing teams
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with management systems and standard office software
  • Experience in team management or staff coordination, ideally within the insurance industry
