ABOUT ZZA HOSPITALITY GROUP

ZZA hospitality group is a growing, multi-brand restaurant group with more than 30 years of success operating

Boston Pizza, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, and Crumbl Cookies across Western and Northern Canada. The

organization currently operates 16 restaurants across six provinces and territories, generates annual sales of more

than $40M, and employs a team of over 700 people.

ZZA Hospitality’s approach is grounded in three simple principles:

• Hire great people

• Develop strong leaders

• Build systems that support consistently great operations

The organization’s culture is guided by five core values: Care, Pride, Drive, Integrity, and Fun. ZZA Hospitality believes

the restaurant industry offers exceptional career opportunities for individuals who value leadership, teamwork, and

hospitality.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a newly created role driven by organizational growth and long-term succession planning for the anticipated

retirement of the Chief Financial Officer. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will initially be hands-on across

core accounting functions, including bookkeeping and transactional review, to develop a deep, practical understanding

of the organization’s accounting processes within a hospitality environment.

ZZA Hospitality operates in a complex, multi-entity structure, with separate financial reporting for each operating

location. The Controller will learn and become a power user of the recently implemented R365 system, supporting the

development of SOP’s, identifying efficiencies, and optimizing system use across franchises. The role works closely with

franchise General Managers and an outsourced bookkeeping partner to review transactions, resolve discrepancies, and

ensure accuracy and compliance. Over time, the role will evolve to include greater responsibility for financial analysis,

risk and opportunity identification, and staff leadership. The successful candidate will be mentored as a potential

successor to the CFO.

This is a full-time, in-office role (Monday to Friday), with some flexibility. It is well suited to a career-driven professional

who thrives in a growth environment, brings a continuous improvement mindset, and is willing to go above and beyond

when needed to support the success of the organization and its people. If you enjoy working hard, having fun, and are

a CPA with the skills and experience required, please apply today!
