Job Title:

Quality Inspector

 

Reporting To:

Technical Operations, Quality Control

 

Work Schedule:

Onsite – Wolverhampton, GBR

 

Moog Aircraft Group Wolverhampton is looking for a Quality Inspector (First Article Inspection) who will be pivotal in ensuring that all supplied, manufactured, and assembled parts meet Moog’s stringent quality standards. This role involves rigorous inspection and continuous quality monitoring within Moog Wolverhampton Limited.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the acceptability of parts and assemblies based on dimensional and visual criteria.
  • Complete AS9102 FAIRs
  • Interface with various digital systems to provide detailed inspection results.
  • Support all areas of inspection, including final acceptance, receiving, and in-process.
  • Interpret Engineering Drawings and utilise a variety of standard inspection equipment. Experience with CMMs is advantageous.
  • Provide clear and concise feedback/results to various engineering functions.

 

A successful candidate will:

  • Have extensive experience with inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Be proficient in reading and understanding Engineering drawings.
  • Possess an HNC or equivalent in Engineering, or extensive experience in an Aerospace Quality organisation.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Experience with AS9100 Aerospace Quality System.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Solumina business systems is ideal.
  • Must be adaptable to shift patterns as required by the Quality Inspection Manager.
