About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist to join an R&D chemistry group focused on advancing innovative delivery and formulation technologies. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research programs in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize nanoparticle-based formulations for the delivery of nucleic acid–based payloads.
- Design and execute experiments to improve formulation performance, including encapsulation efficiency, stability, and payload integrity.
- Apply and refine analytical methods to characterize formulations and assess performance.
- Implement and evaluate conjugation strategies to enable targeted delivery, including downstream purification and analytical characterization.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve formulation or analytical challenges, contributing creative solutions to advance research programs.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to support project execution and knowledge exchange.
- Maintain thorough documentation of experimental work and present results to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nanotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Hands-on experience with nanoparticle formulation and characterization, ideally involving nucleic acid or biomolecular payloads.
- Strong working knowledge of physicochemical and bioanalytical techniques used in formulation development.
- Experience with conjugation or functionalization approaches involving biomolecules or polymers is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, strong attention to detail, and comfort working both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Authorization to work in Germany.
