Junior Estimator - Multifamily Opportunity in Charlotte
Location: Charlotte, NC 28207
Estimated Salary Range (depending on experience): $65,000 - $85,000 + Bonus

You’ll support the pricing and planning of major projects, working alongside experienced estimators, development teams, and subcontractors. What You'll Do
- Assist with preparing detailed estimates, quantity takeoffs, and supporting documentation for upcoming projects.
- Review contract documents and plans to help identify potential scope gaps or issues.
- Help gather, organize, and clarify pricing information from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in developing material quantity takeoffs for lumber, drywall, brick, and other key components.
- Support the bid solicitation process by reaching out to local trade partners and tracking sub responses.
- Organize bid packages and assist senior estimating staff with bid leveling and analysis.
- Help assemble preliminary project budgets and final proposal submissions.
Must-Have:
- 0–3 years of experience in construction estimating or preconstruction (includes internships).
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science, or a related field (or equivalent internship/hands-on experience).
- Basic understanding of plan reading, construction drawings, and takeoff procedures.
- Proficiency in Excel and general comfort learning estimation software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, OST).
- Excellent communication skills and a eager attitude toward learning and team collaboration.
Strong Preferences:
- Direct exposure to or interest in wood-frame, podium, or mid-rise multifamily construction.
- Internship or prior work experience with a General Contractor, builder, or developer-builder.
- Familiarity with the local Charlotte subcontractor market.
