Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position in Raleigh NC. As the Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with estimating construction projects, including quantity take-offs, cost management, communication, and budgeting. The role will involve performing field take-offs, communicating with construction teams and subcontractors, preparing RFPs, and analyzing bids.


Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with project team members
  • Interpret plans, identify construction materials to bid, and double-check estimates
  • Perform and/or manage the project scoping, clarifying, and pricing effort
  • Maintain project lists and vendor database
  • Print plans and specifications to develop estimate database
  • Obtain subcontractor and vendor quotes
  • Perform quantity take-offs
  • Assist with schedules and estimates as needed
  • Write/create proposal documents as needed
  • Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings


Skills and Experience

  • College degree in Accounting, Engineering or Construction Management preferred
  • Minimum of three years of estimating experience
  • Candidate must be able to read and understand blueprints
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and provide a professional level of communication
  • Possess strong mathematical and computer skills (proficient with Microsoft Office Programs)
  • Ability to work constructively in a fast pasted, team environment
