A Wilmington based leader in commercial construction, is seeking a skilled Traveling Construction Superintendent to manage various projects across North and South Carolina. The first assignment is a 10-12 month project in Charleston, SC. If you have a passion for leading construction teams and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget, this dynamic role offers the opportunity to oversee diverse projects and travel throughout the region.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee all aspects of construction site operations for each project, ensuring work is completed to company standards, within budget, and on schedule.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient progress and quality control.
• Ensure all site operations comply with safety regulations and enforce safety protocols.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with architectural plans.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to address issues and ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Manage project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and progress updates.
• Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and DAE Building leadership.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential delays or risks to project timelines and budgets.
• Travel to various job sites across NC and SC, with flexibility for extended stays based on project needs.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a proven track record in managing commercial and/or residential construction projects.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods, with a focus on projects in the Carolinas.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts on a job site.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on proactive project management.
• Proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel frequently.
