A leading Mechanical and Plumbing contractor that focuses on new commercial construction is expanding and launching a new Electrical Division to complement it's already successful mechanical contracting services. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Operations to lead this exciting new venture in Wilmington, NC. If you have a passion for driving operational excellence and leading teams in the electrical industry, this role is perfect for you.


Responsibilities:


• Oversee the daily operations of the Electrical Division, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

• Develop and implement strategic plans to grow the division, meet revenue targets, and expand market share.

• Build and manage a high-performing team of electricians, project managers, and support staff, fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.

• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Establish and manage operational budgets, track expenses, and monitor financial performance.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry best practices.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, streamline processes, and optimize resource allocation.

• Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to the overall growth and success of Odyssey Mechanical.


Qualifications:


• Proven experience in a leadership role within the electrical contracting or construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety regulations, and industry standards.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to drive growth and operational improvements.

• Experience with budgeting, financial management, and business development.

• Proficiency in project management software and electrical estimating tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
