Position Summary


Our Client is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to oversee the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on complex commercial construction projects. The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP components are coordinated, scheduled, and executed to meet quality, budgetary, and timeline expectations. This role is critical to the successful delivery of projects and requires deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and strong collaboration with subcontractors, design teams, and internal project stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of MEP planning, coordination, and execution for assigned projects.

• Oversee the work of MEP subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.

• Review and interpret design documents, submittals, and shop drawings to identify conflicts and opportunities for value engineering.

• Collaborate with design teams, architects, engineers, and field staff to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems with structural and architectural components.

• Manage procurement and delivery schedules for MEP equipment and materials.

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards.

• Identify and mitigate MEP-related risks and issues throughout the construction lifecycle.

• Support project budgeting, forecasting, and change order management for MEP scopes of work.

• Maintain thorough documentation of MEP progress, RFIs, and coordination meetings.

• Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and sustainability initiatives.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in MEP project management on commercial construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, standards, and construction practices.

• Proficiency with project management software and BIM tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Revit).

• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, coordinate with design professionals, and lead field teams.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
