Invoke Staffing is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead field operations for high-quality commercial construction projects throughout the Raleigh-Durham market. Position Overview
The Superintendent will be responsible for the overall coordination, scheduling, quality control, and safety performance of assigned construction projects from groundbreaking through turnover. This individual will serve as the primary field leader, managing subcontractors, driving project schedules, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, workmanship, and compliance with plans and specifications
- Proactively identify and resolve field issues before they impact project performance
- Lead jobsite safety efforts and maintain compliance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and jurisdictional approvals
- Maintain accurate daily reports, schedules, photos, and project documentation
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, design teams, owners, and trade partners
- Manage punch list completion, commissioning activities, and project closeout
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
- Proven experience leading ground-up and/or major renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, scheduling, and building systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and maintaining project momentum
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction scheduling tools
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
