About the Opportunity

Invoke Staffing is seeking a Construction Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on commercial construction projects throughout the Raleigh-Durham area. This role is ideal for a motivated construction professional looking to grow into a Superintendent position while gaining hands-on experience across all phases of construction.

Position Overview

The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Lead Superintendent and Project Management team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, maintaining jobsite organization, and supporting daily field operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing day-to-day jobsite operations
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractor work to ensure alignment with project schedule and scope
• Help maintain and update short-term schedules and look-ahead plans
• Enforce jobsite safety protocols and support a culture of safety
• Conduct daily jobsite walks to monitor progress and quality of work
• Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities
• Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, photos, and logs
• Support material deliveries and ensure proper staging and site logistics
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in commercial construction (field experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and jobsite coordination
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore or similar preferred)
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus
