Senior Estimator – Commercial Flooring

About the Role

Invoke Staffing is seeking a Senior Estimator with experience in commercial flooring (preferred) or commercial construction. Key Responsibilities

• Review documents, blueprints, and project plans to fully understand project scope
• Prepare accurate material and cost estimates for bids and services
• Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy
• Manage the estimating process for multiple concurrent projects
• Maintain organized bid documents, drawings, and correspondence
• Stay current on industry trends, construction materials, and labor costs
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other estimators, reviewing their work for accuracy
• Support project teams during the bid process and flooring installation phase

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher
• Prior estimating experience in commercial flooring or commercial construction
• Knowledge of flooring materials and installation methods strongly preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, perform take-offs, and develop accurate 3D mental models from 2D drawings
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with digitizing software (RFMS Measure a plus)
• Project management or contract knowledge a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach as needed throughout the workday
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
• Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision, as well as depth perception
• May require occasional evening work or infrequent travel (personal vehicle or air travel)
