Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a large independent insurance agency to find a Commercial Lines Account Executive for their growing business.


Job Overview

The Account Executive manages an assigned book of business ($650,000 in revenue), services existing client accounts, and assists agents in providing insurance products for existing and prospective clients. The primary goal is to build strong relationships while delivering exceptional customer service to ensure customer retention.


Key Responsibilities:


Account Management

  • Independently manage a book of business not assigned to an agent.
  • Prepare submissions and market new/renewal business to appropriate carriers.
  • Respond to all day-to-day inquiries and service issues for assigned clients.
  • Provide coverage recommendations and collect exposures from clients and prospects.
  • Maintain the agency management system with up-to-date and accurate information.
  • Serve as a liaison between the client and vendors/carriers to resolve issues.
  • Quote, analyze, compare, and recommend coverage options for clients.
  • Manage the renewal timeline to ensure timely execution of client decisions.
  • Prepare summaries of insurance, renewals, schedules, and proposals.
  • Support Agents with new and renewal business presentations as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and client education on the latest industry trends.
  • Attend client meetings as required.


Customer Service

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, focused on exceeding customer expectations.
  • Promote a customer-focused environment by providing friendly, courteous, and helpful service.
  • Answer customer questions and resolve complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support a team-oriented environment by interacting professionally and collaboratively with all employees, clients, and vendors.


Administrative

  • Organize tasks and resources to complete work and meet deadlines.
  • Make decisions on a variety of tasks requiring discretion, judgment, and initiative.
  • Respond to incoming phone calls and emails promptly and effectively.


Experience and Licensing

  • 5+ years of commercial lines experience.
  • Current Property & Casualty Resident Intermediary license granted by the State of Wisconsin.
  • Valid WI driver's license and acceptable driving history.


Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Deep knowledge of insurance products, rating, and underwriting procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to document and access information in an electronic system.
  • Ability to follow existing processes, manage multiple priorities accurately, efficiently, and independently, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
