Assistant Account Manager – Commercial Lines (Real Estate)


Location: Hewlett, NY

Compensation: Up to $90,000 (commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Full-time, in-office during training (60–90 days). Hybrid option (3 days in office / 2 remote) available thereafter.


About the Opportunity


Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a well-established retail insurance agency in Hewlett, New York to identify an Assistant Account Manager – Commercial Lines. This individual will support a senior account manager on a high-profile book of large commercial real estate accounts, including clients with premiums exceeding $10M and hundreds of locations.


The ideal candidate is an experienced commercial lines professional with Applied EPIC expertise and prior exposure to large real estate accounts in a retail insurance agency setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Issue and manage Certificates of Insurance for a certificate-heavy real estate book of business.
  • Handle endorsement requests, loss run requests, and policy checking with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support invoicing, billing, and premium tracking within Applied EPIC.
  • Process recommendations and maintain accurate account documentation.
  • Collaborate with the senior account manager to deliver consistent, high-quality service to clients.
  • Use Excel and other Microsoft tools for account reporting and tracking.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial lines experience within a retail insurance agency (required).
  • Proven experience servicing real estate accounts of significant size and complexity.
  • Applied EPIC proficiency (required).
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial P&C coverages.
  • Excellent organizational skills, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: Up to $90,000, depending on experience.
  • Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
  • PTO: 3 weeks’ vacation, 1 week sick time, and 15–16 additional paid Jewish holidays annually.
