Job Overview
The Personal Lines Account Executive is responsible for the independent management of a book of business, providing exceptional service to existing client accounts, and supporting agents in delivering insurance products to clients. The core goal is to build strong relationships while ensuring high customer retention through superior service.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management
- Independently manage a dedicated book of business.
- Prepare submissions and market new/renewal business to appropriate carriers.
- Respond to all day-to-day inquiries and service issues for assigned clients.
- Provide coverage recommendations and collect necessary exposures from clients and prospects.
- Maintain the agency management system with accurate and up-to-date information.
- Serve as the liaison between client and vendors/carriers to resolve issues.
- Quote, analyze, compare, and recommend coverage options.
- Manage the renewal timeline for timely execution of client decisions.
- Prepare summaries of insurance, renewals, schedules, and proposals.
- Support Agents with new and renewal business presentations as needed.

Customer Service & Administrative
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a goal of exceeding customer expectations.
- Promote a customer-focused environment through friendly, courteous, and helpful service.
- Answer customer questions and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
- Organize tasks and resources to meet deadlines, frequently requiring discretion, judgment, and initiative.
- Respond to incoming phone calls and emails promptly and effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience and Skills

5+ years of personal lines experience is required.
- Deep knowledge of insurance products, rating, and underwriting procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience documenting and accessing information in an electronic system (AMS).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately, efficiently, and independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
License and Certification
- A current Property & Casualty Resident Intermediary license granted by the State of Wisconsin is mandatory.
- Valid WI driver's license and acceptable driving history.
