Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a $25B+ independent registered investment advisory firm to find their next Regional Director. As the Regional Director for Partner Optimization, you will drive success in assigned markets, representing the firm to teammates and partners while shaping growth strategies. You will expand market presence, increase revenue, and optimize profitability through strategic leadership and hands-on management. Key responsibilities include refining growth strategies, analyzing trends, and leading marketing initiatives, advisor training, and promotional events.


This leadership role involves overseeing multiple teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring a high-performance culture. Strong communication, problem-solving, and adaptability are essential for supporting advisors, enhancing client experiences, and managing concerns effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach advisors on firm processes and KPIs.
  • Oversee regional P&L, team compensation, and analytics.
  • Lead advisor teams, mentor staff, and drive client retention.
  • Partner with internal teams to optimize service and efficiency.
  • Source talent, support M&A efforts, and develop growth strategies.
  • Organize advisor retreats, training, and business development initiatives.
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration and best practices.
  • Manage team performance, engagement, and cultural values.
  • Champion change management and integration efforts.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead regional teams, including hiring, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Establish clear performance metrics and provide regular feedback.
  • Encourage professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain open communication and foster an innovative, accountable culture.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years in wealth management, 5+ years in leadership with revenue accountability.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% as required. The ability to manage travel flexibly and effectively is a must.
  • CFP or equivalent designation preferred. If previously registered, all applicants must have a clean U4 with no disclosures.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Tamarac, Office, and MoneyGuide.
  • Experience in advisory team growth, strategy, and operations.


This role involves extensive travel (min. of 50-60%) across the country to integrate new partners and align with business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $165k - $210k. However, the final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions.
  • This role is eligible for variable compensation.
