Title: Senior Wealth Advisor

About the Opportunity

Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a highly respected, independent wealth management firm known for its sophisticated, white-glove approach to serving ultra-high-net-worth families. The firm has built its reputation on deep client trust, long-tenured relationships, and a fiduciary-first culture — resulting in a client base that is both exceptionally loyal and exceptionally large.

We are seeking an experienced advisor to join in a high-impact "hunter" capacity, with a rare opportunity to step into stewardship of established ultra-high-net-worth relationships as part of a planned succession strategy.

Qualifications

Experience & Track Record

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a financial advisor at an RIA, independent broker-dealer, or wirehouse, with a demonstrated record of client acquisition and retention
  • Proven "hunter" track record — measurable history of sourcing, pitching, and closing new client relationships, not solely managing an inherited or referral-based book
  • Experience advising ultra-high-net-worth clients ($10MM+ households) on complex planning needs: multi-generational wealth transfer, trust and estate coordination, concentrated stock positions, alternative investments, and tax-efficient portfolio construction
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of complex relationships (100+ households) with a service model built for scale and white-glove attention simultaneously

Portable Business

  • A portable book of business of at least $50 million AUM, transferable without undue regulatory or contractual restriction
  • Ability to document client relationships and articulate a credible transition/retention plan

Licensing & Regulatory Standing

  • Active Series 65 (or equivalent combination of Series 7 & 66) required; additional licensing (Series 63, insurance lines) a plus
  • CFP®, CFA, CPA, or other relevant advanced designation strongly preferred, though not required for the right candidate
  • Clean U4
  • Ability to pass a full background check, credit check, and reference verification consistent with SEC/FINRA and firm-level fiduciary standards
  • No non-compete or non-solicit restrictions that would materially impede a book transition (or a clear legal path to navigate existing restrictions)

Professional Attributes

  • Polished, executive-level presence suited to serving high-profile, high-net-worth, and multi-generational families
  • Strong discretion and judgment in handling sensitive financial and personal information
  • Collaborative team orientation — comfortable working alongside existing advisory teams, para-planners, and client service staff during a relationship handoff
  • Entrepreneurial mindset balanced with fiduciary discipline; comfortable operating in a growth-oriented, performance-driven environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • W-2 employment structure with a strong base salary.
  • Performance-based compensation in addition to base, tied to AUM growth, retention, and new business development
  • Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) match
  • Potential equity participation (G2 stock) for the right candidate
  • Relocation assistance available for candidates outside the LA area

Why This Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a firm with substantial existing AUM and an established ultra-high-net-worth client base, positioning the right advisor for significant long-term growth alongside a defined path to inheriting major book relationships built over decades.
