The Role
Our client is seeking a Director of Advisor Recruiting to lead outreach and relationship development with advisors and RIA teams nationwide. This is a senior-level position designed for a strategic professional who understands the nuances of complex recruiting cycles and advisor transitions.
Whether operating as a high-level individual contributor or leading a broader strategy, you will own the lifecycle of advisor recruitment, from the initial discovery call to final transition planning. You will act as a primary representative in the market, building trust with experienced professionals and helping shape the firm’s growth trajectory.
Core Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution: Own the nationwide advisor recruiting strategy, including proactive outreach, pipeline development, and long-term relationship cultivation.

Relationship Management: Build deep trust with advisory teams, guiding them through the exploration, due diligence, and transition planning phases.

Process Optimization: Maintain and improve a structured, high-touch recruiting process that ensures a premium candidate experience.

Market Presence: Expand the firm’s footprint within advisor networks, industry conferences, custodians, and various centers of influence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and transitions for incoming advisory practices.

Strategic Intelligence: Provide consistent feedback to leadership to help evolve product, service offerings, and growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience

Professional Background: 5–7+ years of experience in financial services sales or recruiting. Ideal backgrounds include RIA recruiting, M&A, wholesaling, custodian relationship management, or insurance distribution.

Industry Expertise: A deep understanding of the independent advisory landscape, including business models, HNW client expectations, and the mechanics of protocol and non-protocol transitions.

Proven Track Record: Success in leading sophisticated professionals through structured decision processes and securing high-quality commitments.

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a consultative, long-term approach to business development.

Operational Mindset: The ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining the discipline to manage a robust sales pipeline.
Compensation & Benefits
- Fully remote work environment
- This role may come in as an individual contributor or a leader. Each role offers base compensation ($150k - $200k) and bonus ($300-$350k+ OTE), depending on experience.
