Location: Sterling, VA (Northern Virginia)
Schedule: Full-Time | Mon–Fri | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (No Evenings or Weekends)
Compensation: $85,000 – $105,000 + Profit Sharing & Performance Incentives
The Opportunity:
Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a premier, owner-operated outpatient practice in Sterling that is actively challenging the "corporate mill" status quo. If you are currently seeing 20+ patients a day and feel your clinical quality is suffering, this is the specialized environment you’ve been looking for.
-
Quality Over Volume: While corporate competitors push for 22 patients a day, our client’s therapists typically see only 8 patients in a full day.
-
Specialized Caseload: This is a niche practice focused on high-quality rehabilitation for injured workers, including post-operative care, trauma, and complex Workers' Comp cases.
-
The "8-to-4" Lifestyle: Our client offers a strict 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM schedule. There are no late nights, no weekends, and no expectation of "catch-up" charting at home.
The Role: Clinical Leadership & Autonomy
We are seeking a seasoned Physical Therapist to take over the day-to-day clinical leadership of the Sterling office. This role is designed for a clinician who wants to "own" their space. You will work closely with the owner—who oversees multiple locations—allowing her to focus on growth while you lead the clinical team in Sterling.
-
Clinical Mix: 85% Clinical / 15% Leadership & Relationship Management.
-
Autonomy: You will frequently serve as the primary clinical lead on-site. Our client values clinicians who can operate independently and maintain a strong clinical reputation.
-
Relationship Building: Support the practice’s growth by maintaining ties with referring physicians and nurse case managers.
Long-Term Rewards & Equity
Our client is looking for a partner, not just an employee. They offer a comprehensive benefits package designed for long-term retention:
-
Earned Equity: A clear, documented path to equity ownership in the business at the 5-year mark.
-
Profit Sharing: Performance-based profit sharing is provided in addition to the base salary.
-
Licensure & Certifications: The practice covers your Virginia licensure fees and required professional certifications.
-
Professional Development: Financial support for Industrial Health specializations and paid time during work hours to complete coursework.
-
Full Benefits: 401(k), Health, Dental, and a PTO plan that increases with tenure.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Active Virginia PT License (Required).
-
Minimum 3+ Years of Outpatient Ortho Experience: Due to the complexity of the Workers' Comp caseload, our client cannot accept new grads for this leadership role.
-
Local Focus: Ideally residing within 15–20 miles of Sterling/Northern Virginia.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a high sense of professional responsibility.
